Looking back at your preliminary task, what do you feel you have learnt in the progression from it to the full product?
Looking back at my preliminary task I feel like I have learnt a lot to what I knew back then.
I have expanded my knowledge on the software premiere pro by a lot. When making our preliminary task we had a lot of technology problems with this software so we had to make our preliminary task on Apple's software imovie.
However, with seeking help we found out that for some reason we had to change our clips to an mp4 format in order to be able to work with them on premiere pro.
I have also learnt how important preparation is whilst making a longer film opening. For example, by making an animatic it can visually show us our idea. And also by planning the titles it allows us to remember what order we wanted the titles to go in.
Furthermore, compared to our preliminary task I have also learnt how to use effects such as fade ins, and different audio effects which we did not previously use. And I being in charge of sound, have been able to include more than one sound and have been able to put multiple audios into our opening sequence. By doing this it has raised the quality of our work and has made it seem more like a professional product compared to our preliminary task.
Because our opening sequence product was filmed outside in the public unlike our preliminary task, I have also learned how to be cautious of the public and cars and the risks that could be involved and how to minimize this risks.
